THUMBS UP HIGH 5K IS A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT SUPPORTS MENTAL HEALTH AND SUICIDE PREVENTION. OUR MISSION STATMENT IS "WE VALUE LIFE AND WE ASPIRE TO HELP OTHERS IN OUR COMMUNITY BY TALKING ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH." THUMBS UP HAS EIGHT PROGRAMS INCLUDING: CHEER BAGS, CALMING CORNERS, COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS, REFERRAL ASSISTANCE, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOGS, SMILES FOR SENIORS, SURVIVORS OF SUICIDE LOSS AND YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH OUTREACH INITIATIVES. IN 2021, THUMBS UP REACHED 507 PEOPLE THROUGH THEIR CHEER BAG PROGAM, 22 FAMILIES WHO NEEDED MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES, PAID FOR 33 COUNSELING SESSIONS THROUGH OUR REFERRAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, PRESENTED THIRTEEN TIMES REACHING OVER 2,045 PEOPLE. IN TOTAL, WE REACHED 107,585 PEOPLE THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS, WEBSITE, SOCIAL MEDIA AND PROGRAMS.
