THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED AS A SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 509(A)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1986, AS AMENDED, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE YMCA OF COLUMBIA, SC.

THE YMCA OF COLUMBIA, SC ACCOMPLISHES ITS MISSION THROUGH 3 FOCUS AREAS THAT ARE ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE AND OPEN TO ALL FAITHS, BACKGROUNDS, ABILITIES AND INCOME LEVELS: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT OUR YMCA IS COMMITTED TO NURTURING THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN. WE BELIEVE ALL KIDS HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL AND DESERVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCOVER WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY CAN ACHIEVE. THAT'S WHY WE HELP YOUNG PEOPLE CULTIVATE THE VALUES, SKILLS AND RELATIONSHIPS THAT LEAD TO POSITIVE BEHAVIORS, BETTER HEALTH AND EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH PROGRMAS SUCH AS AFTER SCHOOL CHILDCARE, SUMMER DAY CAMP, AND SWIM LESSONS.
