THE PURPOSE OF THE GEORGIA TRANSPORTATION ALLIANCE IS TO CREATE A QUALITY, COMPREHENSIVE TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE TO SOLIDIFY GEORGIA'S POSITION AS A TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS HUB NOT ONLY FOR THE SOUTHEAST, BUT THE ENTIRE NATION.

IN 2021, THE GEORGIA TRANSPORTATION ALLIANCE CONTINUED WORK IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT OUTREACH, PUBLIC EDUCATION, POLICY DEVELOPMENT, AND ADVOCACY. THE ACTIVITIES WERE CONDUCTED IN THREE PRIMARY FOCUS AREAS: SURFACE TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE, PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, AND FREIGHT AND LOGISTICS. GTA CONTINUED TO SUPPORT POLICY MAKERS INVOLVED IN THE GEORGIA COMMISSION ON FREIGHT AND LOGISTICS, AS WELL AS OUTREACH AND EDUCATION TO LOCAL BUSINESSES ABOUT NATIONAL, STATE, AND LOCAL TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENTS.
