DEPARTMENT SERVICE OFFICE/HOSPITAL TRANSPORTATION NETWORK: PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO VETERANS AND DEPENDENTS IN FILING CLAIMS FOR BENEFITS. TRANSPORTS VETERANS TO VA MEDICAL CENTERS AND CLINICS. TRANSPORTED 3,727 VETERANS, DROVE 248,784 MILES, AND VOLUNTEERS GAVE 12,604 OF THEIR TIME DURING THE YEAR.


BULLETIN PROGRAM: THE DAV PUBLISHES A QUARTERLY BULLETIN TO KEEP MEMBERS INFORMED ABOUT DEVELOPMENTS AFFECTING THE FEDERAL BENEFITS AND SERVICES THEY'VE EARNED. DAV BROCHURES AND OTHER INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMS INFORM DISABLED VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES OF FREE SERVICES AND ASSIST OTHERS THROUGH DAV VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS.


SERVICE TO CHAPTERS: PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO NINE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS CHAPTERS THROUGHOUT SOUTH DAKOTA. CONDUCT SEMINARS, CONFERENCES, AND CONVENTIONS TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON BENEFITS, PROGRAMS, AND SERVICES TO THEIR MEMBERSHIP, FAMILIES, AND OTHER VETERANS.
