UNFORTUNATELY DURING 2021 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC OUR ACTIVITIES WERE VERY LIMITED. THE FOUNDATION WAS UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2021 SPECIAL OLYMPICS POLAR PLUNGE EVENT IN FEBRUARY AS THE TRADITIONAL EVENT WAS CANCELLED. WE HAD BEEN FORTUNATE TO BE NAMED ONE OF THE RECIPIENTS FOR UNITED HEATH GROUPS ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT IN 2020 WHICH AWARDED US A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF FUNDS OF WHICH THE LAST COUPLE PAYMENTS WERE RECEIVED IN 2021. THE FUNDS RAISED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS WELL AS PRIOR YEAR HAVE ALLOWED US TO MAKE DONATIONS OF ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT TO KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AMOUNTING TO ALMOST $64,000. EXAMPLES OF ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT DONATED INCLUDE UPSEE'S WHICH ALLOW CHILDREN WHO OTHERWISE COULDN'T WALK TO BE STRAPPED TO AN ADULT AND WALK WITH THEM. WE ALSO DONATED SEVERAL ADAPTIVE BIKES AND TRIKES AS WELL AS ALL TERRAIN STROLLERS, SPECIAL CHAIRS FOR TRUNK STABILITY AND EVEN A THERAPY DOG.
