TO PRESERVE AND PROMOTE INTEREST IN BLUES MUSIC TO KEEP ALIVE THE GREAT TRADITION OF BLUES MUSIC AND THE BLUES MUSICIANS THAT WERE BORN IN THE BLACK PRAIRIE BELT REGIONS OF MISSISSIPPI; PROVIDE A VENUE FOR PERFORMANCE OF TRADITIONAL BLUES MUSIC, FRIDAY NIGHT PRIOR TO THE PRAIRIE ARTS LABOR DAY WEEKEND FESTIVAL; AND SUPPORT BLUES EDUCATION TO ENSURE THE FUTURE OF THIS UNIQUELY AMERICAN ART FORM.
