THE BOSTON FESTIVAL OF INDIE GAMES FEST IS AN ANNUAL SHOWCASE OF GAMES WITH NEARLY 5000 ATTENDEES, PLAYING 200 INDEPENDENTLY CREATED GAMES. SOME OF WHICH COMPETE IN THE COMPETITIVE SHOWCASE. TALKS AND LEARNS IS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE WHOSE PLATFORM ALLOWS FOR INDEPENDENT DESIGNERS TO SHARE AND SHOWCASE THEIR LEARNINGS WITH ONE ANOTHER IN ORDER TO FOSTER COMMUNITY, TEACH VALUABLE LESSONS AND START DYNAMIC CONVERSATIONS IN THE INDEPENDENT GAME CREATOR SPACE ABOUT HOW AND WHY PEOPLE CREATE GAMES. THE EVENT FEATURES MULTIPLE TRACKS INCLUDING GAME DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, AND BUSINESS. BOTH TALKS AND LEARNS AND THE FEST EVENTS ARE HELD EACH YEAR. IN 2021 THE EVENTS WERE POSTPONED AND ONLINE PROGRAMMING WAS HELD INSTEAD.
