Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3

WAITLIST ZERO PROVIDED FISCAL SPONSORSHIP TO 1DAY SOONER, A NONPROFIT THAT PROMOTED HUMAN CHALLENGE TRIALS TO SPEED THE DEVELOPMENT OF CORONAVIRUS VACCINES. THIS IS CONSISTENT WITH WAITLIST ZERO'S COMMITMENT TO PROMOTING KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION AND SUPPORTING KIDNEY DONORS AND RECIPIENTS, AS THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC INTERFERED WITH THE OPERATIONS OF TRANSPLANT CENTERS AND POSED A GENERAL THREAT TO THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF DONORS AND RECIPIENTS.

WE ORGANIZED A COALITION OF NONPROFITS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE NEED TO INCREASE LIVING ORGAN DONATION, THE BEST TREATMENT FOR A DISEASE, KIDNEY DONATION, WHICH AFFECTS 400K AMERICANS.

WE WORKED TO EXPAND ACCESS TO TRANSPLANT EDUCATION FOR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. NEARLY 180K PATIENTS ARE EIGIBLE FOR KIDNEY TRANSPLANT, AND OPTIMAL EDUCATION METHODS CAN DRAMATICALLY EXPAND ACCESS TO TRANSPLANTATION.
