THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT OF A NETWORK OF NATIVE PEOPLE WHO ARE DEDICATED TO INCREASING THE SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND PROSPERITY OF THEIR COMMUNITIES. THIS IS BEING ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH COMPREHENSIVE FINANCIAL INITIATIVES.

THE ORGANIZATION ADMINISTERS SEVEN PROGRAMS: 1) NATIVE ASSET BUILDER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT (INCLUDING NATIVE BANK ON ONAC/NATIONAL GET BANKED INDIAN COUNTRY CAMPAIGN, FINANCIAL EDUCATION TRAIN-THE-TRAINERS, MULTIPLE NATIVE ASSET BUILDING RESEARCH PAPERS AND PRESENTATIONS, THE NATIONAL NATIVE EITC/VITA NETWORK, AND FUNDING OF BANK ON ACCOUNTS), 2) MINI GRANTS AND LARGER GRANTS TO FUND NATIVE ASSET-BUILDING PROJECTS, 3) ESTABLISHING AND FUNDING EDUCATIONAL SAVINGS ACCOUNTS FOR AMERICAN INDIAN AND ALASKA NATIVE CHILDREN, 4) FUNDING EMERGENCY SAVINGS ACCOUNTS FOR NATIVE FAMILIES, 5) CASH ASSISTANCE INCENTIVES FOR NATIVE FAMILIES BUILDING AND REPAIRING CREDIT AND PURCHASING A HOME, 6) ONE-ON-ONE FINANCIAL COACHING, AND 7) DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE.
