WORK TRAINING PROGRAM: 10 SINGLE MOTHERS/WIDOWS WERE SERVED IN THE PROGRAM. PROGRAM ELEMENTS INCLUDE HANDS ON WORK TRAINING IN AGRICULTURE, AND CLEANING 5 DAYS A WEEK FOR 49 WEEKS, HYGIENE AND BUDGET WORKSHOPS, WEEKLY PERSONAL COUNSELING, STIPEND FOR ALIMENTATION OF THE FAMILY.
PAYMENTS MADE ON PROPERTY PURCHASE
EDUCATION PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 25 PRIMARY AND SECONDARY STUDENTS. 10 SCHOLARSHIPS IN LITERACY AND ADULT EDUCATION FOR SINGLE MOTHERS/WIDOWS. EXPENSES INCLUDED: SCHOOL CHARGES, UNIFORMS, DAILY NUTRITIONAL SNACKS, ESSENTIAL SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND TRANSPORTATION COSTS. 18 PRIMARY AND SECONDARY STUDENTS RECEIVED AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING TO ASSIST WITH HOMEWORK, READING COMPREHENSION AND MATHEMATICS.
HEALTHCARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: 10 FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED ASSISTANCE WITH HEALTHCARE INCLUDING: EMERGENCY DENTAL SERVICES, EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE AND TRANSPORTATION, DR. VISITS AND MEDICINES FOR GENERAL ILLNESSES. FEEDING PROGRAM: 6615 LUNCHES WERE SERVED IN 2017 TO 10 FAMILIES OF SINGLE MOTHERS/WIDOWS (27 INDIVIDUALS) LIVING IN EXTREME POVERTY. THESE MOTHERS LACK THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO PROVIDE ESSENTIAL NUTRITION DAILY FOR THEIR FAMILIES.
