GEORGIA MOUNTAINS FARMERS NETWORK IS BUILDING COMMUNITY AROUNG LOCAL FOODS. OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE FARMER NETWORKING AND RESOURCES, NORTHEAST GEORGIA LOCALLY GROWN AND EDUCATION FARM TOURS. THE FARMER NETWORKING SUPPORT AS MANY NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SMALL AND SUSTAINABLY-MINDED FARMERS THROUGHOUT NORTHEAST GEORGIA. THIS HELPS CREATE COMMUNITY, INSPIRES FARMERS WHEN MOST NEEDED, AND CREATES LONG-LASTING FRIENDSHIPS AND CONNECTIONS. THE NORTHEAST GEORGIA LOCALLY GROWN PROGRAM HOSTS FARMERS MARKETS THAT CONNECT THE PUBLIC TO WITH LOCAL FOOD FROM DOZENS OF SMALL FARMS WITHIN 80 MILES COMMITTED TO CHEMICAL-FREE GROWING PRACTICES. THE EDUCATIONL FARM TOURS PROGRAM PROVIDE A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT KINDS OF FARMS, LIKE SMALL, WORKING FARMS WITH LIMITED TIME AND MANPOWER TO FARMS WHO GROW FOOD WITHOUT SYNTHETIC CHEMICALS.
