PROGRAMS: *SURVIVOR OF SUICIDE LOSS SUPPORT GROUP: MEETS TWO TIMES A MONTH - AVERAGE GROUP SIZE IS 8-10 PARTICIPANTS.*PARENTS OF CHILD LOSS SUPPORT GROUP: MEETS ONCE A MONTH - AVERAGE GROUP SIZE IS SIX PARTICIPANTS.*MAINTAIN AND SUPPORT CLOSED FACEBOOK GROUP FOR SURVIVORS OF SUICIDE LOSS AND PARENTS OF CHILD LOSS. EACH GROUP HAS AN AVERAGE OF FIFTEEN MEMBERS.*MOOD BALANCING YOGA FOR GRIEF AND LOSS - ONE CLASS IN NOVEMBER 2015 WITH EIGHT STUDENTS.*PROVIDE PRIVATE GRIEF SUPPORT FOR NEWLY BEREAVED PARENTS AND FAMILIES. CURRENTLY RECEIVING AN AVERAGE OF THREE TO FOUR PHONE CALLS EACH MONTH AND CONDUCT A MINIMUM OF THREE SESSIONS PER MONTH.COMMUNITY OUTREACH:*LAX-4-LIFE LACROSSE PROGRAM FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION AND AWARENESS - 200 ATHLETES AND FAMILIES WERE IN ATTENDANCE. IN ADDITION BOTH EAST LYME HIGH SCHOOL AND FITCH HIGH SCHOOL IN GROTON WERE AWARE OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE LAX-4-LIFE GAME.*BRIGHT MUSIC FESTIVAL - AN INTERACTIVE EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIVE PROGRAM WITH MATERIALS FOR YOUNG ADULTS TO PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE RESOURCES IN OUR COMMUNITIES TO PROMOTE MENTAL WELLNESS. OVER 400 IN ATTENDANCE.*EAST LYME COMMUNITY FORUM ON SUICIDE PREVENTION AND AWARENESS MODERATED BY STATE SENATOR PAUL FORMICA SHOWCASED A PANEL TO DISCUSS THE MYTHS AND FACTS ON SUICIDE, A STORY OF AN ATTEMPT SURVIVOR AND THE STORY OF A MOTHER WHOSE SON DIED BY SUICIDE AND HER SURVIVAL. OVER 50 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE AND BROADCAST ON LOCAL CABLE NETWORK.*WATERFORD MENTAL HEALTH PANEL DISCUSSION - A FORUM WITH STATE AGENCIES AND NON-PROFITS TO DISCUSS THE GAPS IN MENTAL HEALTH IN CONNECTICUT MODERATED BY STATE REPRESENTATIVE KATHLEEN MCCARTY.
