MISSISSIPPI ASSOCIATION OF NURSE PRACTITIONERS (MANP) PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 400 NURSE PRACTITIONERS (NP) WITH ADVANCED-LEVEL ACCREDITED EDUCATION AND TRAINING WITHIN THEIR SCOPES OF PRACTICE IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ACROSS THE STATE BETWEEN 07/01/2022-12/31/2022.


COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND ADVOCACY WERE PRESENTED VIA OUR WEBSITE, NEWSLETTERS, AND UPDATES TO OVER 5000 APRNS IN THE STATE OF MS AND OVER 700 APRNS OUTSIDE MS. CONSUMER EDUCATION, COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING OF THE NP ROLES WERE PROVIDED ON A STATE & NATIONAL LEVEL SUPPORTING EFFORTS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO CARE FOR MISSISSIPPIANS, ESPECIALLY IN RURAL, CRITICAL ACCESS AREAS.


LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY WAS PROVIDED MONTHLY. LOBBYING EFFORTS & LEGISLATOR EDUCATION WAS PROVIDED REGARDING THE NURSE PRACTITIONER (NP) ROLE. NURSE PRACTITIONERS WERE INCLUDED THROUGH MANP LEGISLATIVE UPDATES AT CONFERENCES, SOCIAL MEDIA, OUR WEBSITE, AND EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS OF ANY REGULATORY OR LEGISLATIVE CHANGES OCCURRING DURING JULY 2022-DECEMBER 2022 THAT AFFECT THE NURSE PRACTITIONER ROLE, REIMBURSEMENTS, REGULATIONS, OR UPCOMING PROJECTIONS.
