MISSION STATEMENT: THE MISSION OF THE HAIGLER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, A 501C3 NON-PROFIT CHARITABLE FOUNDATION IS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE IN HAIGLER AND DUNDY COUNTY, NEBRASKA THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFERINGS; AND TO ENCOURAGE TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS FOR CONTINUING OPERATIONS OF THE HAIGLER MUSEUMS AND CORNERSTONE CENTER FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE (FORMER CLOSED HAIGLER SCHOOL BUILDINGS, NOW A MAJOR EVENT CENTER FOR THE AREA.) AFTER A YEAR PLUS OF ALL BUILDINGS AND MUSEUMS BEING CLOSED AND ALL EVENTS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF COVID 19 PANDEMIC; OUR HAIGLER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION REOPENED EVERYTHING ON MAY 1, 2021. EVENTS INCLUDED: THE HAIGLER TRACTOR SHOW, PARADE, AND RODEO; HAIGLER ALUMNI/MEMORIAL WEEKEND EVENTS; DUNDY ROO SPRING ART FESTIVAL; SUPPORT OF THE IRWIN AUTO SHOW; SUPPORT OF THE HAIGLER FIREWORKS PROGRAM; SPONSOR OF THE HAIGLER SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL IN THE PARK; TRAIL OF TREASURES GARAGE SALES; HAIGLER FALL TUMBLEWEED FESTIVAL; THE HAIGLER GUN AND CRAFT SHOW; AND A HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE. ATTENDANCE AND SUPPORT OF ALL OF THESE EVENTS FROM OUR COMMUNITY WERE EXCELLENT. PROJECTS COMPLETED INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: ADA COMPLIANT RESTROOM IN THE CORNERSTONE MUSEUM (MATCHING AARP CHALLENGE GRANT); CORNERSTONE MUSEUM , ONE ROOM COUNTRY SCHOOLHOUSE MUSEUM, AND CONOCO STATION MUSEUM DONATIONS AND DISPLAYS INCREASED; THE ART HOUSE INSIDE RENOVATION PROJECTS CONTINUED AND A NEW PORCH, REPAIRS, AND OUTSIDE PAINTING; DEVELOPMENT , PRINTING, AND DISTRIBUTION OF A HAIGLER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION BROCHURE; VOLUNTEER BASE EXPANDED; INVESTMENT STRATEGY IMPLEMENTED; FUND DRIVES FOR DONATIONS FOR NEW ROOFING ON THE CORNERSTONE MUSEUM AND PROJECT COMPLETED. IT WAS A VERY BUSY YEAR, WITH MANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND THE HAIGLER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION BEING RECOGNIZED AS A VITAL ENTITY IN OUR COMMUNITY.
