TO BUILD AND PERPETUATE SUPPORT FOR A VIBRANT, CARING JEWISH COMMUNITY THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH DONORS AND ORGANIZATIONS. THE FOUNDATION RECEIVES, ADMINISTERS AND DISPOSES OF FUNDS FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES.

THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES PHILANTHROPIC SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUAL DONORS AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE JEWISH COMMUNITY. SERVICES INCLUDE GRANT MAKING, FIELD OF INTEREST RESEARCH, CONSULTATIONS WITH PROFESSIONAL ADVISORS, FUND INVESTMENT, MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION SHARES EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT CHARITABLE/LEGACY PLANNING, FUNDING IDEAS AND CHARITABLE OPPORTUNITIES IN THE JEWISH AND BROADER COMMUNITIES.ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE:FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTED GRANTS FROM NET ASSETS TOTALING $356,845 TO 146 CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. GRANTS ADDRESSED NEEDS IN A VARIETY OF AREAS INCLUDING HEALTH, HUMAN SERVICES, EDUCATION, RELIGION, CULTURE, ENVIRONMENT AND THE ARTS. TWO COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AND ONE CAMP SCHOLARSHIP WERE AWARDED ON BEHALF OF NEW MEXICO YOUTH.FOUNDATION STAFF HELPED EDUCATE THE JEWISH COMMUNITY ABOUT CHARITABLE PLANNING AND WORKED WITH DONORS TO DEVELOP LEGACY PLANS AND OPEN FUNDS TO SUPPORT CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND CAUSES NOW AND INTO THE FUTURE. FOUNDATION CONTINUED INTO THE FOURTH YEAR OF THE FOUR-YEAR LIFE & LEGACY ENDOWMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HAROLD GRINSPOON FOUNDATION. LIFE & LEGACY, A PROVEN, SUCCESSFUL INITIATIVE IN 60+ OTHER COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT NORTH AMERICA, PROMOTES AFTER-LIFETIME GIVING TO BENEFIT JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS. THE PROGRAM EMPHASIZES STEWARDSHIP AND FORMALIZATION OF LEGACY GIFTS AND PROMOTES A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH THAT STRENGTHENS THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY. NINE JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS (7 IN ALBUQUERQUE AND 2 IN SANTA FE) ARE PARTICIPATING. AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2021, THE PROGRAM HAD GENERATED LEGACY GIFTS WITH AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF $5.8 MILLION AND $721,500 OF REALIZED ENDOWMENT GIFTS. FOUNDATION MANAGED INVESTMENTS TO MAXIMIZE RETURNS CONSISTENT WITH ITS INVESTMENT AND DISTRIBUTION POLICIES.
