THE PEORIA HOME RESIDENT PROGRAM IS A 2-YEAR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM SUPPORTING 4 WOMEN AT A TIME IN THE HOME AND HAS PROVIDED SUPPORT TO 7 WOMEN SURVIVORS THIS YEAR WITH RENT-FREE HOUSING, CASE MANAGEMENT, MEDICAL & MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT, LIFE-SKILLS & VOCATIONAL EDUCATION, JOB TRAINING, AND EMPLOYMENT. WE HAVE HAD OUR FIRST OFFICIAL GRADUATE WHO ALSO RECEIVED AN EDUCATIONAL GRANT FROM ZONTA CLUB OF EVERETT TO ASSIST HER IN HER GOAL OF ACQUIRING HER PROJECT MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION (PMP). ONE OF OUR CURRENT RESIDENTS HAS COMPLETED HER CERTIFICATION TO BECOME A PEER SUPPORT LEADER FOR SURVIVORS.
THE PEORIA HOME AFFILIATE PROGRAM OFFERS SUPPORT TO WOMEN SURVIVORS THAT ARE IN THEIR OWN SAFE/SECURE HOUSING AND QUALIFIES FOR OUR PROGRAM BENEFITS OF CASE MANAGEMENT, MEDICAL & MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT, LIFE-SKILLS & VOCATIONAL EDUCATION, GROUPS, AND JOB TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES. WE HAVE SUPPORTED 5 WOMEN IN THE AFFILIATE PROGRAM THIS FISCAL YEAR WITH ALL FIVE MOVING ON TO LIVE FULLY INDEPENDENT, PRODUCTIVE LIVES!
THE PEORIA HOME RESOURCE LINE IS A LIFELINE FOR WOMEN IN THE COMMUNITY IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE WITH RESOURCES, REFERRALS, AND THOSE INTERESTED IN THE PEORIA HOME RESIDENTIAL OR AFFILIATE PROGRAMS. PEORIA HOME HAS PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO 123 WOMEN THIS FISCAL YEAR; FEMININE HYGIENE KITS, REFERRALS TO DVS AND TREATMENT OPTIONS, PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT WOMEN AND CHILDREN, REFERRALS TO PEORIA HOME SISTER ORGANIZATIONS OUTSIDE OF WA STATE FOR SAFETY REASONS, AND WOMEN INTERESTED IN THE PEORIA HOME PROGRAM.
