THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE SHORT TO MIDTERM HOUSING AND FAITH-BASED SUPPORT TO AT-RISK SINGLE MOTHER LED FAMILY UNITS DURING A TRANSITIONAL AND/OR UNIFICATION PERIOD. THE ASSISTANCE PROVIDED COMES IN THE FORMS OF ECONOMIC, SPIRITUAL, EDUCATIONAL AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.

THE CITYHOUSE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO INSTILL LIFE-CHANGING SKILLS FAITH- BASED VALUES, AND CHARACTER INTO THE FAMILIES IT SERVES. WHILE LIVING IN THE PROGRAM, MOTHERS HAVE EXPANDED THEIR EUCATION THROUGH OBTAINING GED'S AND COLLEGE DEGREEES, BUILT FINANCIAL STABILITY BY PAYING OFF DEBT AND REPAIRING CREDIT, AND SECURED STABLE EMPLOYMENT, TRANSPORTAION, AND CHILDCARE. ALSO WHILE LIVING IN THE PROGRAM, MOTHERS INCREASED THEIR CORE CAPABILIITES TO COPE WITH LIFE'S DAILY CHALLENGES. AS A RESULT OF INCREASED STABILITY, MAY OF THE CHILDREN SHOWED SIGNIFICAN SCHOLASTIC IMPROVEMENT, INCLUDING RAPIDLY INCREASING READING LEVELS AND EARNING SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS. CITYHOUSE CHALLENGES ITS MOTHERS TO LEARN AND BECOME EMPOWERED TO SUCCESSFULLY LIVE BEYOND THEIR TIME IN THE PROGRAM.
