THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES OF THIS CORPORATION SHALL BE: A) TO EDUCATE AND ENTERTAIN THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON THE HISTORY OF THE RENAISSANCE PERIOD DURING A FESTIVAL. B) TO SPONSOR SPECIAL EVENTS INVOLVING A PUBLIC PERFORMANCE OF ASPECTS OF RENAISSANCE HISTORY. C) TO ENGAGE IN OTHER ACTIVITIES RELATED TO EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE RENAISSANCE PERIOD AND RENAISSANCE FESTIVALS, IN GENERAL.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE CENTRAL MISSOURI RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL HOSTS TWO WEEKENDS IN THE SPRING AND ONE WEEKEND IN THE FALL EACH YEAR. THE FESTIVAL IS HELD ON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE FAIR; WHICH IS BEING DEVELOPED INTO A MEDIEVAL VILLAGE WITH BUILDINGS. SOME ARE OWNED BY THE FAIR AND OTHERS OWNED BY MERCHANTS THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE FAIR EVENTS. THE FAIR OFFERS A PLACE FOR PATRONS TO COME AND SEE TRADES OF THE RENAISSANCE, GOODS PRODUCED BY MERCHANTS FOR SALE THAT ARE TIME PERIOD RELEVANT, HISTORICAL ENCAMPMENTS, ARMORED COMBAT, CHILDREN'S REALM WITH ACTORS, FAIRY REALM, PERIOD MUSIC AND DANCERS, AXE AND KNIFE THROW, ARCHERY, AND FOOD AND DRINK. THE FESTIVAL DOES A CANNED FOOD DRIVE EACH DAY OF THE FESTIVAL FOR A REDUCED TICKET PRICE TO SUPPORT THE CENTRAL MISSOURI FOOD BANK. FUNDS ARE ALSO DONATED TO THE WIDOWS BROTHERN FOR TOYS FOR TOTS DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON.
