SERIOUSLY ENTERTAINING: HOUSE OF SPEAKEASY PRESENTED EIGHT "SERIOUSLY ENTERTAINING" LITERARY CABARET SHOWS FEATURING 32 WRITERS AND REACHING OVER 1,600 GUESTS. SPEAKTOGETHER: COORDINATED 24 AUTHOR APPEARANCES AND PERFORMANCES FOR HIGH SCHOOL MATINEES AND AFTER-SCHOOL WORKSHOPS IN BROOKLYN, MANHATTAN AND THE BRONX, BENEFITTING OVER 1,250 TEENS. SPEAKFREELY: THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, SPEAKEASY MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR 48 HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS TO RECEIVE COMPLIMENTARY ACCESS TO THE "SERIOUSLY ENTERTAINING" PROGRAMMING. BOOKMOBILE: SPEAKEASY'S MOBILE BOOK TRUCK DELIVERS FREE BOOKS AND PROGRAMMING TO ALL FIVE NYC BOROUGHS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NYC HOUSING AUTHORITY, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, AND LITERACY PARTNERS.
