IDAHO2FLY CONDUCTS THREE ANNUAL ALL-EXPENSE PAID WEEKEND FLY FISHING RETREATS, PROVIDING MEN WITH CANCER AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND TIME WITH A GROUP OF CARING AND SUPPORTIVE VOLUNTEERS WHOSE OWN LIVES, IN SOME WAY, HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY CANCER. THROUGH A SERIES OF MODERATED GROUP DISCUSSIONS, INTERSPERSED WITH TIME SPENT WITH A VOLUNTEER FISHING FRIEND ON SOME OF THE BEST TROUT STREAMS IN AMERICA, WE CREATE A RELAXED AND SECURE ATMOSPHERE FOR OUR GUESTS TO LEARN FROM OTHERS WHO ARE ALSO EXPERIENCING SIMILAR CHALLENGES. SUPPORT CONTINUES WITH YEAR ROUND COMMUNITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES INVOLVING VOLUNTEERS, FORMER GUESTS AND FAMILIES. ACTIVITIES IN THIS PAST YEAR INCLUDED ON LINE FLY FISHING 101 CLASSES, AND ZOOM FACILITATED SUPPORT GROUPS, A BUDDY PROGRAM AND DAY ON THE RIVER. WE RETURNED TO A FULL IN-PERSON RETREAT SCHEDULE IN 2022, HOLDING FOUR RETREATS, OUR 2FLY DERBY AND VARIOUS IN-PERSON PROGRAMS.
