RECYCLED LIVES IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO BETTERING THE LIVES OF PEOPLE LIVING IN POVERTY THROUGH FACILITATING ACCESS TO RESOURCES THAT ARE PHYSICAL, SPIRTIUAL, AND/OR FINANCIAL IN NATURE. WE ARE ADVOCATES FOR CEASING POVERTY FOR ALL OF GOD'S PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

WE PROVIDED ROOFS TO 22 FAMILIES WITH 255 LAMINA SHEETS & 225 BOARDS. 30 WOOD COOK STOVES WERE INSTALLED. 20 CHILDREN NO LONGER SLEEP ON DIRT OR CEMENT FLOORS BY RECEIVING BUNK BEDS. WITH DONATIONS FROM A PARTNER ORGANIZATION, WE DISTRIBUTED 100 PAIRS OF SHOES, 1,000 LBS BLACK BEANS AND 3,500 PACKAGES OF FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN FORTIFIED RICE PACKS TO ADDITIONAL COMMUNITIES THAT ARE NOT ON OUR REGULAR FOOD DISTRIBUTION LIST.
WE CONSTRUCTED 5 TWO BEDROOM HOMES THAT INCLUDE A KITCHEN, BATHROOM AND COVERED PORCH AREA. 50 ADDITIONAL FAMILES HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS NEEDING HOMES CONSTRUCTED IN THE NEAR FUTURE AS FUNDS BECOME AVAILABLE.
MONTHLY SUPPLEMENT FOOD PACKAGES ARE PROVIDED TO 175 FAMILIES THAT LIVE IN POVERTY IN GUATEMALA. THIS PROGRAM CARES FOR 655 INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDES 3,500 POUNDS OF GRAINS EACH MONTH. OTHER ITEMS SUCH AS FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, HIGIENE ITEMS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, CLOTHING, SHOES AND FORTIFIED RICE PACKS WERE DISTRIBUTED AS DONATED OR FUNDS WERE AVAILABLE TO BOTH OUR REGULAR FAMILIES AS WELL AS PERSONS IN WAIT FOR A SPONSOR AND SPACE ON OUR PERMANENT LIST. WE HAVE CONTINUED WITH THE INCREASED QUANTITIES OF GRAINS EACH MONTH IN RESPONSE TO THE ONGOING PANDEMIC. THE PRICE AND AVAILABILITY OF RICE AND BEANS HAVE STABILIZED, THOUGH STILL HIGHER THAN PRE-PANDEMMIC COSTS. IT APPEARS IT WILL BE QUITE SOME TIME BEFORE THE ECONOMY BEGINS TO STABILIZE AND PRE-PANDEMIC WORK OPPORTUNITIES RETURN.
