(3)TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL CASE-MANAGEMENT TO ESTABLISH GOALS TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL AND PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS. JOURNEY TO NEW LIFE IS A NONPROFIT SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATION LOCATED IN KANSAS CITY, MO. IT IS ORGANIZED TO SERVE MEN AND WOMEN RETURNING TO THE COMMUNITY FROM PRISON OR OTHER INVOLVEMENT WIHT THE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. THIS INCLUDES SUCH THINGS AS CLOTHES, SHOES, FOOD, BUS PASSES, CELL PHONES, PRESCRIPTIONS, GLASSES, AND MEDICAL AND DENTAL COPAYMENTS. IN ADDITION, PROVIDES A BUILDING TO HOUSE WOMEN WHO HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO STAY WHICH INCLUDES ROOM AND BOARD AND ALL EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR UP TO 90 DAYS. INCLUDES PERMANENT HOUSING (APARTMENT/HOUSE) AT SCATTERED SITES THROUGHOUT THE METROPOLITAN KANSAS CITY AREA. JOURNEY TO NEW LIFE PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT, HOUSING COUNSELING, LEASE NEGOTIATION WITH LANDLOARDS, RENTAL APPLICATION FEES, RENTAL DEPOSITS AND UP TO THREE MONTHS OF RENT TO FACILITATE THE ACQUISITION AND MAINTENANCE OF PERMANENT HOUSING FOR THESE PERSONS.
