MOVE TEXAS ACTION FUND IS A GRASSROOTS, NONPARTISAN, NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION BUILDING POWER IN UNDERREPRESENTED YOUTH COMMUNITIES THROUGH CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND ISSUE ADVOCACY. TOGETHER, WE ARE BUILDING A TEXAS THAT BELIEVES IN YOUNG PEOPLE AND INVESTS IN THEIR LEADERSHIP. OUR WORK IS CENTERED AROUND EDUCATING AND ENGAGING YOUNG PEOPLE WITH THE ISSUES THAT IMPACT THEM DIRECTLY WHILE BUILDING THE PORTABLE ORGANIZING SKILLS THAT YOUNG PEOPLE WILL NEED TO ENGAGE THEIR COMMUNITIES.MOVE TEXAS IS COMMITTED TO GENERATIONAL, TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGE. OUR BASE IS YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 - 35, LIVING IN THE REGIONS WHERE WEVE BUILT CIVIC INFRASTRUCTURE THROUGH STAFF CAPACITY AND EVERGREEN PROGRAMS. WE PRIMARILY WORK TO ENGAGE FIRST-TIME VOTERS, A DEMOGRAPHIC WEVE HAD GREAT SUCCESS ENGAGING.
