THE CORPORATION SHALL PLAN FOR AND PROMOTE THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE ESTES VALLEY IN WAYS THAT ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THOSE QUALITIES THAT MAKE ESTES PARK A UNIQUE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY.THE CORPORATION EXISTS TO BUILD A STRONGER AND MORE BROADLY-BASED ECONOMY AND TAX BASE; TO ADVISE AND ASSIST EXISTING LOCAL BUSINESSES TO REACH THEIR FULL ECONOMIC POTENTIAL; AND TO ATTRACT NEW BUSINESSES THAT CREATE PRIMARY JOBS AND NEW EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.THE CORPORATION SHALL USE AND PROMOTE THE TOOLS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO CREATE A MORE DYNAMIC, MULTI-GENERATIONAL COMMUNITY TO THE BENEFIT OF ALL CITIZENS.

IN 2021, THE ESTES PARK EDC WORKED WITH ENTREPRENEURS THROUGHOUT THE ESTES VALLEY BY OFFERING INDIVIDUAL PROFESSIONAL MENTORS AND ONE-ON-ONE CONFIDENTIAL BUSINESS CONSULTING. IN ADDITION, THE E-CENTER BUSINESS ACCELERATOR SERVICE OF ESTES (BASE) PROGRAM HOSTED AN INTENSIVE SIX MONTH BUSINESS TRAINING PROGRAM, WHICH RESULTED IN TEN LOCAL BUSINESSES GRADUATING FROM THE PROGRAMIN 2021, THE ESTES PARK EDC ASSISTED IN THE FACILITATION AND EVENTUAL DEVELOPMENT OF A 36 UNIT WORKFORCE HOUSING UNIT. IN ADDITION, WE STARTED WORKING WITH A DEVELOPER (4 POINTS FUNDING) TO FACILITATE, SUPPORT AND ADVOCATE FOR A 96 UNIT WORKFORCE HOUSING PROJECT THAT WILL BE COMPLETED IN 2024. AS WELL, THE ESTES PARK EDC STARTED WORKING WITH THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK AND AMERICA WEST DEVELOPMENT, TO ASSIST IN COMMUNITY OUTREACH, DEVELOPER INCENTIVES AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL FOR A 190 UNIT WORKFORCE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ON FISH HATCHERY ROAD.
