THE MISSION OF THE PARAMEDIC FOUNDATION IS TO FURTHER THE PROFESSION OF PARAMEDICINE.

IN THE LAST FISCAL YEAR, TPF STARTED THE REVISION OF THE COMMUNITY PARAMEDIC CURRICULUM, VERSION 5. VERSION 4 IS NOW ACCESSIBLE TO ACCREDITED COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES GLOBALLY.IN THE LAST FISCAL YEAR, TPF PLANNED AND LED THE INTERNATIONAL ROUNDTABLE ON COMMUNITY. THE MEETING WAS HELD IN NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND AND APPROXIMATELY 85 PEOPLE FROM SEVEN COUNTRIES ATTENDED. THE 2024 MEETING WILL BE HELD IN JUNE AND WILL BE IN QUEBEC, ATTACHED TO THE PARAMEDIC CHIEFS OF CANADA CONFERENCE.IN THE LAST YEAR, TPF CONTINUED WORK ON CONTRACTS FOR MULTI-YEAR PERIODS TO SUPPORT THE STATES OF WYOMING, NEBRASKA, AND OHIO IN ASSESSING RURAL EMS SYSTEMS, AND FOR SURVEYING AMBULANCE AGENCIES, AND AMBULANCE PRACTITIONERS. IN THE LAST YEAR, TPF DID WORK WITH THE STATE OF WYOMING TO CONDUCT AN INFORMED COMMUNITY DETERMINATION PROCESS FOR TWO AMBULANCE SERVICES THAT ARE INTERESTED IN COMBINING INTO ONE MORE VIBRANT AGENCY. WE ALSO FACILITATED MONTHLY CONFERENCE CALLS WITH THE LICENSED COMMUNITY PARAMEDIC AGENCIES AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES. IN 2023/2024 TPF WILL WORK WITH THE WYOMING FEDERALLY DESIGNATED QIO/QIN TO DEVELOP COMMUNITY PARAMEDIC AGENCY PERFORMANCE MEASURES.IN THE LAST YEAR, TPF WORKED WITH THE STATE OF OHIO TO CONDUCT A SURVEY OF RURAL AMBULANCE LEADERS REGARDING EFFICIENCIES THEY HAVE ACHIEVED IN THEIR OPERATIONS OVER A THREE-YEAR PERIOD. A REPORT ON THESE EFFICIENCIES WILL BE DELIVERED TO THE STATE OF OHIO IN THIS FISCAL YEAR.
