THE CHRIS ATWOOD FOUNDATION WORKS TO PROVIDE RECOVERY SUPPORT AND RESOURCES TO PEOPLE AND FAMILIES AFFECTED BY ADDICTION; TO CHANGE THE CONVERSATION AND POLICIES ABOUT ADDICTION FROM ONES OF STIGMA TO SUPPORT; AND TO PREVENT THE DISEASE FROM TAKING HOLD OF FUTURE GENERATIONS.

REVIVE TO THRIVE: A PEER DRIVEN CONTINUUM OF CARE THAT WALKS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER THROUGH A RANGE OF CUSTOMIZED HARM REDUCTION AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH AND SAFETY. ALL SERVICES ARE EVIDENCE-BASED AND RENDERED BY CERTIFIED PEER SUPPORT SPECIALISTS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH LIVED-EXPERIENCE.
RECOVERY HOUSING AND ORGANIZATIONAL SUPOORT - AFTER A LENGTHY AND EXPENSIVE PERIOD OF IN-PATIENT ADDICTION TREATEMENT, MANY PEOPLE ARE LEFT WITH NO FUNDS OR EMPLOYMENT - SO THEY GO RIGHT BACK TO THE TOXIC ENVIRONMENT THEY WERE IN BEFORE TREATMENT. TO PREVENT THIS COMMON PITFALL OF EARLY RECOVERY, THE CAF PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS THAT COVER UP TO ONE MONTH OF COSTS AT AFFORDABLE, SUBSTANCE- FREE HOUSING PROGRAMS. RECIPIENTS ARE ABLE TO MOVE IN IMMEDIATELY AND BEGIN THE PROCESS OF BECOMING SELF-SUFFICIENT.
EDUCATION - THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS, PANELISTS, AND KEYNOTE SPEAKERS FOR CONFERENCES AND EVENTS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO MAINTAINS A SMALL, CURATED LIST OF TRUSTWORTHY TREATMENT CENTERS AND OTHER RESOURCES.
THE COMPREHENSIVE HARM REDUCTION PROGRAM IS A MOBILE VAN PROVIDING FREE AND ANONYMOUS HARM REDUCTION TOOLS AND COUNSELING TO INDIVIDUALS IN ACTIVE SUBSTANCE USE, PRIMARILY THOSE INJECTIONG DRUGS. THROUGH NON-JUDGEMENTAL PEER SUPPORT, STERILE SYRINGES AND OTHER SAFER USE SUPPLIES, NALOXONE, COUNSELING, HIV AND HCV TESYING, AND CONNECTION TO ADDCTION TREATMENT AND OTHER RESOURCES, THE CHR PROGRAM SAVES LIVES, REDUCES SUBSTANCE USE, AND PREVENTS THE SPREAD OF BOLLDLINE DISEASE.
