A PLACE FOR VISITING SCIENTISTS TO WORK WITH A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT SPECIES FROM OUR RICH LOCAL BIODIVERSITY AND POTENTIALLY OTHER MARINE ANIMALS AND ORGANISMS FROM THE WORLD'S OCEANS. THE LABS WILL BE OUTFITTED WITH STATE OF THE ART RESEARCH EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING A DNA SEQUENCER THAT IS CAPABLE OF MAPPING THE GENOME OF A SINGLE DNA STRAND.
THE SCHOOL WILL NOT ONLY STAND ON ITS OWN MERITS AS A ONE OF A KIND ADVANCED UNDERWATER FILM SCHOOL, BUT IT WILL BE DEVELOPED AND TAUGHT BY SOME OF THE MOST ADVANCED CINEMATOGRAPHERS IN THE WORLD SUCH AS DJ ROLLER AND FRAZIER NEVINS, TWO OF THE MOST WELL KNOWN UNDERWATER CAMERAMEN IN THE WORLD. THE BOAT BASIN WILL NOT ONLY SERVE AS PROTECTED DOCKAGE FOR THE RESEARCH VESSELS, BUT WILL ALSO GIVE THE UNDERWATER FILM SCHOOL THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEST EQUIPMENT AND SKILLS RIGHT AT THE PROPERTY.
THIS WILL BE AN OUTPOST TEACHING RESEARCH FACILITY FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND FOR LOCAL GRADE SCHOOLS AS WELL. ON THE HIGHER EDUCATION FRONT WE WILL HAVE VISITING PROFESSORS FROM THE BEST RESEARCH FACILITIES IN THE WORLD TEACHING GRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE CREDITED PROGRAMS IN THE MARINE RESEARCH FIELD.
