THE WORK WITH ALLIANCE FOR THE GREAT LAKES ALIGNS WITH THE FOUNDATIONS MISSION ON PROTECTING NATURE ENVIRONMENT AND RESOURCES.UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS FOUNDATION THE RAINBOW HERITAGE FOUNDATION WORKED WITH UIF ON ORGANIZING THE ADVANCED SUMMER INTERNSHIP BY VOLUNTEERING IN THE MAJOR GIFT FUNDRAISING EVENT AND ALSO WORKING WITH CERTAIN HIGH TECH COMPANIES TO ESTABLISH SUMMER INTERN PROGRAMS. THE WORK WITH UIF ALIGNS WITH OUR FOUNDATIONS MISSION OF ENCOURAGING AND PROMOTE EDUCATION AND PREPARE THEM FOR THE WORK FORCE FOR OUR YOUNG GENERATION.
MISSION TRAILS REGIONAL PARK FOUNDATION WE JOINED THE RANGERS MONTHLY PARK BEAUTIFICATION CREW TO ASSIST WITH SPREADING MULCH, PULLING WEEDS AND LITTER ABATEMENT, AND TOGETHER WITH ALL OTHER ATTENDEES AND VOLUNTEER WERE INVITED TO TAKE THE CLEAN AIR PLEDGE AS PART OF THE FOUNDATIONS PARTICIPATION IN CALIFORNIA CLEAN AIR DAY.WE ALSO JOINED THE MTRP FOUNDATIONS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM THIS YEAR, AS BOTH FOUNDATIONS BELIEVE EDUCATION IS A LIFELONG ENDEAVOR. WE JOINED THE 2023 INAUGURAL COHORTS OF ECO AMBASSADORS, THE EVENT THAT 20 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO WERE SELECTED FROM NEARLY 100 APPLICANTS MET ON THE SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO LEARN FROM EXPERTS IN SUBJECTS INCLUDING BIOLOGY, SOIL ECOLOGY, WILDFIRE SCIENCE AND ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE SCIENCE.
