SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA EMS (EMS) IS TASKED WITH PROMOTING SYSTEMATIC, COST-EFFECTIVE DELIVERY OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE THROUGHOUT THE STATE. IDENTIFYING COMMON LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND STATE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SYSTEM NEEDS AND AIDING IN ADDRESSING THOSE NEEDS. EMS COLLABORATES WITH THE PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES TO WORK ON EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PROJECTS WITH POTENTIAL REGIONWIDE SIGNIFICANCE, PROVIDES PUBLIC EDUCATION ABOUT EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE, PROMOTES THE EXCHANGE OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE INFORMATION, AND ESTABLISHES AND MAINTAINS TRAINING STANDARDS TO ENSURE CONSISTENT QUALITY OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES THROUGH THE STATE.
