LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN THE PIONEER VALLEY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE REGION. OUR CORE PROGRAM IS A 9-MONTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT COMBINES FIELD EXPERIENCES, APPLIED LEADERSHIP SKILL SESSIONS AND TEAM PROJECTS. EACH YEAR 30-40 INDIVIDUALS ARE CHOSEN FOR THE PROGRAM FROM A LARGER POOL OF APPLICANTS. PARTICIPANTS PARTICIPATE IN AN OVERNIGHT RETREAT, OPENING RECEPTION, 8 FULL-DAY SESSIONS, AND PROJECT PRESENTATIONS AND GRADUATION EVENT. WE ARE BEGINNING TO CONSIDER OFFERING ADDITIONAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS AIMED AT OTHER AUDIENCES INCLUDING YOUTH, EXECUTIVES, OR RETIREES. LPV WILL DEVELOP WORKSHOPS AND MATERIALS TO ASSIST COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN DEVELOPING THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS, AS A WAY TO INCREASE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN OUR COMMUNITIES.
