THE USS YORKTOWN FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS TO CREATE NEW EXHIBITS AND UPGRADE EXISTING EXHIBITS ON THE USS YORKTOWN, THE USS LAFFEY, AND THE VIETNAM EXPERIENCE AT PATRIOTS POINT NAVAL AND MARITIME MUSEUM. PROJECTS FROM THIS YEAR INCLUDE RESTORATION OF HISTORIC AIRCRAFT ON THE FLIGHT DECK, REPLACEMENT OF AIRCRAFT TIRES, RESTORATION AND REPAIRS ON THE USS LAFFEY, RESTORATION AND MATERIAL ACQUISITION OF THE PRIMARY FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM, ARTIFACT RESTORATION.
THE USS YORKTOWN FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS TO SUPPORT SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND EVENTS AT THE MUSEUM. THIS INCLUDES THE ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY BLAST FIREWORKS, THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM, AND FRAGILE COLLECTIONS EXHIBIT OPENING.
