TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY LODGING AND SUPPORT TO MILITARY MEMBERS, VETERANS, AND THEIR FAMILIES WHEN RECEIVING TREATMENT THROUGH A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA NAVY OR VA MEDICAL CENTER.

THIS MONEY WAS USED FOR THE BENEFIT OF LOCAL FISHER HOUSES IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THESE EXPENDITURES WERE USED TO FUND UPGRADES, REPAIRS, AND MAINTENANCE COSTS, AS WELL AS OPERATING EXPENSES THAT ARE NOT PROVIDED FOR IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS BUDGET FOR THESE RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES. THESE FUNDS WERE ALSO SPENT TO PROVIDE GUESTS WHO STAY IN THE HOMES WITH NECESSARY AND SUPPLEMENTAL ITEMS TO ENHANCE THEIR STAY.


THE ORGANIZATION EXPENDED THESE MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING MILITARY FAMILIES RECEIVING CARE AND THE HOSPITAL STAFF SERVING THEM. THESE FUNDS WERE USED TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY LODGING IN HOTELS FOR MILITARY FAMILIES TO TRAVEL TO RECEIVE MEDICAL CARE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WHEN A FISHER HOUSE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MONIES WERE ALSO USED TO SUPPORT HOSPITAL STAFF BY PAYING FOR MEICAL EDUCATION, AS WELL ASOTHER COSTS THAT IS NOT PAID FOR BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
