EVERY DAY HOPE HOSTED TWO TEAMS, ONEE THAT FOCUSED ON MICRO ENTERPRISE TRAINING. WE HELD A BASIC BOOT CAMP THAT TAUGHT STUDENTS HOW TO START AND RUN A SUCESSFUL SMALL BUSINESS IN THE COMMUNITIES OF EL LIMON, ARROYO HONDO, AND VILLA MELLA. EDH'S LIVESTOCK FOR LIFE PROGRAM CONTINUES TO BE FRUITFUL; EDH STARTED IT'S THIRD PROGRAM IN THE COMMUNITY OF SANTA ROSA, WITH 8 FAMILIES IN 2018. LIVESTOCK FOR LIFE IS AN EDH PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES A PAIR OF PIGS OR GOATS TO A NEEDY FAMILY. THE FAMILY MUST QUALIFY, THEN GO THROUGH ANIMAL TRAINING AND THEN GIVE THE FIRST BORN ANIMAL BACK TO EDH, WHO THEN GIVES THE NEWBORN TO A NEW FAMILY THAT WILL JOIN THE PROGRAM. THE FIRST PROGRAM AND SECOND PROGRAMS, IN THE COMMUNITY OF SAVANA DE HOSTOS AND EL FACTOR; CONTINUE TO GROW. THE EXPENSES LISTED DO NOT INCLUDE 900 FOR MATERIAL AND 200 VOLUNTEER HOURS. EDH ALSO HOSTED A TEAM OF US POLICE OFFICERS AND DETECTIVES TO DO HANDS ON TRAINING FOR THE DOMINICAN NATIONAL POLICE FORCE. THE PROGRAM WAS A TREMENDOUS SUCESS AND WILL CONTINUE IN THE FUTURE. THE EXPENSES LISTED DO NOT INCLUDE 150 VOLUNTEER HOURS.
