BAND OF ANGELS CORP. COLLECTS DONATIONS OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND DISTRIBUTES THOSE DONATED MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS TO ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL CHILDREN IN NEED WITH AN EXPRESSED DESIRE TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT AND PARTICIPATE IN ORGANIZED BANDS OR ORCHESTRAS.

BAND OF ANGELS WORKED WITH AREA SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND DISTRICTS AROUND THE COUNTRY TO DIRECTLY PROVIDE 231 INSTRUMENTS TO LOW-INCOME AND UNDERSERVED STUDENTS. AN ADDITIONAL 131 INSTRUMENTS ALSO WENT OUT FROM BAND OF ANGELS VIA THIRD PARTY PARTNERSHIPS.
IN 2021, 13 BAND OF ANGELS STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS TO ATTEND SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. AWARDS WERE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS TO COVER THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ANY TRAVEL EXPENSES, PARTICIPANT FEES, OR OTHER DIRECTLY-RELATED EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE STUDENT.
AS DONE IN 2020, BAND OF ANGELS COORDINATED A 4-DAY, VIRTUAL CAMP IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS SCHOOL OF MUSIC FOR 2021. DURING THE CAMP, 1,930 STUDENTS FROM 46 STATES AND TERRITORIES, 5 COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE US, AND 1 STUDENT WHO IS CURRENTLY AT A US MILITARY INSTALLATION IN EUROPE.
