TO SUPPORT AND DEVELOP PROGRAMS THAT FOSTER THE JEWISH FAITH IN JEWISH CHILDREN. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN, TEENS, PARENTS AND OTHERS WHICH ENHANCE JEWISH PRIDE, CONVEY THE BEAUTY , JOY, AND FUN OF BEING JEWISH AND THE RICHNESS OF THE JEWISH HERITAGE, DEVELOP A CONNECTION TO AND LOVE FOR ISRAEL, AND INSTILL A FEELING OF BEING A MEMBER OF A JEWISH FAMILY. ONE OF THE FOUNDATION'S PRIMARY ACTIVITIES IS THE YOUTH TO ISRAEL ADVENTURE WHICH IS THE CORNERSTONE OF THE FOUNDATION'S JEWISH CONTINUITY INITIATIVE. SUPPORTING INTERFAITH FAMILIES IN RAISING CHILDREN EXCLUSIVELY WITHIN THE JEWISH FAITH AND FACILITATING CONVERSION TO JUDAISM FOR THOSE SEEKING TO DO SO, AS WELL AS BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ABOUT JUDAISM AND CREATING RESOURCE MATERIALS FOR USE IN JEWISH SETTINGS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND BEYOND. JESIH BOOKS WERE SENT TO MORE THAN 700 CHILDREN, AGES SIX MONTHS TO EIGHT YEARS, WHO LIVEON THE NORTH SHORE OF MASSACHUSETTS. NEW PROGRAMS INCLUDE AN ADULT BOOK GROUP, COURSES FOR ADULTS TO LEARN ABOUT ISRAEL, AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS HONORING THE ELDERLY. PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES THAT INSPIRE TEACHERS TO CREATE EXCITING PLACES OF JEWISH LEARNING, WHICH INSPIRE THEIR STUDENTS TO BE PROUD TO BE JEWISH AND TO WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT JUDAISM.
YOUTH TO ISRAEL ADVENTURE, Y2I, WHICH INCLUDED JEWISH TEENS, TEENS WITH DISABILIITIES AND/OR SPECIAL NEEDS. Y2I, A RITE OF PASSAGE FOR JEWISH TEENS, IS OPEN TO JEWISH TEENS WHO ARE SOPHOMORES OR JUNIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND WHO LIVE IN ANY OF THE 31 CITIES OR TOWNS OF THE FOUNDATION'S SERVICE AREA, REGARDLESS OF LEVEL OF JEWISH OBSERVANCE, EDUCATION, AFFILIATION OR ABILITIES. ITS GOAL IS TO INSPRIRE TEENS TO STAY JEWISH, TO MARRY JEWISH AND TO RAISE THEIR OWN CHILDREN JEWISH BY BUILDING JEWSIH PRIDE, CONNECTING THEM TO ISRAEL, AND IMBUING IN THEM LOVE OF AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE JEWISH FAMILY.
