THE FARMERS MARKET, RUN BY DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS, WERE ABLE TO BRING TOGETHER REGIONAL FARMERS WITH LOCALLY GROWN PRODUCTS TO A COMMUNITY WISHING TO PURCHASE HEALTHY FRESH PRODUCTS AND PRODUCE. THE BY-PRODUCT OF THE MARKET HAS BEEN TO DEVELOP COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS AS WELL AS INCREASING THE LOCAL RETAIL ECONOMY BY PROMOTING THE HISTORY AND BEAUTY OF THE SURROUNDING VILLAGES.AN IMPORTANT PART OF OUR MISSION AND RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS IS EDUCATING SHOPPERS AND WORKING WITH OUR LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT TO EDUCATE OUR YOUNG PEOPLE ABOUT THE HEALTH AND ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF REGIONAL FARMING AND UNDERSTANDING THE SOURCING AND PRODUCTION OF THEIR FOOD.
