HOUSED IN A PURPOSE-BUILT FACILITY IN BROOKLYN, THE ORGANIZATION HOSTS AN EXTENDED NETWORK OF ART AND FABRICATION PROFESSIONALS AND EDUCATORS WHO WORK TOGETHER TO CO-CREATE AND SHARE ARTISTIC PRACTICES VITAL TO THE WELLBEING OF ARTISTS AND THE COMMUNITIES TO WHICH THEY BELONG.

COLLABORATIVE PRODUCTION PROGRAMTHROUGH THIS PROGRAM, POWERHOUSE ARTS WORKS COLLABORATIVELY WITH ARTISTS ON PROJECTS AT ALL STAGES - FROM CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT TO PROJECT EXECUTION TO INSTALLATION. POWERHOUSE SPECIALIZES IN WOOD, METAL, CERAMIC, TEXTILE AND PRINT.
EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, AND ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMTHROUGH THIS PROGRAM, POWERHOUSE ARTS CREATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH ALIKE TO ENGAGE WITH THE ORGANIZATION THROUGH ART-MAKING AND SKILL-BUILDING CLASSES, AND BY PARTICIPATING IN ONLINE AND IN-PERSON EVENTS AND GATHERINGS. POWERHOUSE CREATED A FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM FOR PRACTICING ARTISTS WITH ADVANCED TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY TO BOTH LEARN FROM AND TEACH NEW TECHNIQUES IN A SYMBIOTIC EXCHANGE WITH OUR TEAM; AND DEVELOPED A YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL.
INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION PROGRAMPOWERHOUSE ARTS CONTINUED TO ADVANCE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION PROGRAM. MEMBERSHIP TO THE INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE FLEXIBLE ACCESS TO MEMBERS-ONLY WORKSHOP FACILITIES TO THOSE WHO HAVE DEMONSTRATED THE ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND SAFELY.
