LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT EVENTS. TEAMWOMEN HELD 60 EVENTS ATTENDED BY 2,300+ PROFESSIONAL WOMEN (AND A FEW MEN). OUR ONGOING NETWORKING EVENTS PROVIDE THE PERFECT PLATFORM FOR CONNECTING WOMEN ACROSS A WIDE VARIETY OF PROFESSIONS. PARTICIPANTS LEARN FROM GREAT SPEAKERS IN FIRST-CLASS VENUES AND MASTER HOW TO NETWORK EFFECTIVELY AND STRATEGICALLY. TEAMWOMEN HOLDS A WIDE VARIETY OF EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND FOSTER NETWORKING IN THE COMMUNITY. OUR 60 EVENTS INCLUDE MONTHLY NETWORKING BREAKFASTS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS, CAREER AND WELLNESS PEER-TO-PEER CONNECT GROUPS AND MORE. DUE TO THE CONTINUED PANDEMIC, MOST EVENTS FOCUSED ON OFFERING STRATEGIES FOR MENTAL WELLNESS WHILE PROVIDING SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY FOR ALL NAVIGATING THE IMPACT OF BOTH COVID 19 AND CONTINUED INCIDENCES OF SOCIAL UNREST. WE HOST THREE FLAGSHIP EVENTS EACH YEAR. OUR LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IS A FULL DAY OF INSPIRING, HOPEFUL STORIES FROM POWERFUL WOMEN WHO COME FROM A VARIETY OF PROFESSIONS, BACKGROUNDS, EDUCATIONS, AND EXPERIENCES. FOR THE SECOND YEAR, WE OFFERED THIS EVENT AS A HYBRID EVENT AND HAD OVER 625 REGISTERED ATTENDEES. OUR WAVEMAKER AWARDS IS PLANNED AND HOSTED BY OUR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS ADVISORY BOARD. THIS SPECIAL NIGHT RECOGNIZES WAVEMAKERS OR PIONEERS IN THEIR FIELD IN FIVE SEPARATE AWARD CATEGORIES: COMMUNITY IMPACT; WAVEMAKER; UNCHARTERED TERRITORY; OUTSTANDING MENTOR; AND LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT. WE HAD OVER 180 ATTENDEES JOIN US FOR THIS IN PERSON EVENT. OUR EMPOWER RISING STARS GALA IS OUR FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION WORK. AGAIN, IN 2021 THIS WAS COMPLETELY VIRTUAL AND DREW A GLOBAL AUDIENCE OF OVER 100.
TEAMWOMEN HAS ALWAYS BELIEVED IN WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN. OUR PROGRAM IS RECOGNIZED FOR ITS EMPHASIS ON ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING AND STRATEGICALLY PAIRING PARTICIPANTS IN VARYING PROFESSIONS. BENEFITING BOTH THE MENTOR AND MENTEE, TEAMWOMENS MENTOR PROGRAM IS CROSS-GENERATIONAL AND MENTEE-DRIVEN. WE LAUNCH TWO 12 MONTH CO-HORTS A YEAR.
TEAMWOMEN PROVIDES LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG GIRLS THROUGH OUR THIRD PILLAR, EMPOWER LEADERSHIP ACADEMY. OVER 135 YOUTH ATTENDED OUR EMPOWER LEADERSHIP ACADEMY PROGRAMS THAT HAD A SPECIAL FOCUS ON MENTAL WELLNESS AND RESILIENCE SKILLS TO HELP NAVIGATE THE TURBULENT TIMES CAUSED BY THE PANDEMIC. THROUGH OUR ACADEMIES AND LEADERSHIP SESSIONS, WE COACH 5TH-12TH GRADE GIRLS ON CONFIDENCE, RESILIENCE, MENTAL WELLNESS AND LEADERSHIP AND PROVIDE TOOLS AND SKILLS THEY NEED TO SUCCEED.
