THE FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED TO SUPPORT EFFECTIVE MONTANA BASED NONPROFITS DEDICATED TO HELPING PEOPLE ENLARGE THEIR COMPETENCIES AND CAPACITIES. OYP PREFERS NOT TO FUND HISTORICAL SOCIETIES, ART CENTERS, GENERAL HOSPITALS, THEATERS, NATIONAL LEVEL ORGANIZATIONS, HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, ANIMAL ORGANIZATIONS, SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS, PUBLIC BROADCASTING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. A LIMITED PORTION OF THE FOUNDATION'S GIVING GOES TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS THAT MAY BE OUTSIDE OF MONTANA OR THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE FOUNDATION.
