TO ASSIST THE DUTCHESS COUNTY REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INC. IN THE BUILDING AND SUPPORT OF A QUALIFIED WORKFORCE BY FOSTERING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS, AND ALSO COORDINATING A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT INSTRUCTS AND EDUCATES.

WORKFORCE PROGRAM: PROVIDES INCOME ELIGIBLE YOUTH AGED 14-24 WITH TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT WITH THE GOAL OF ESTABLISHING CAREER PATHWAYS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL PROGRAM GUIDELINES. 76 IN-SCHOOL AND OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH & ADULTS WERE PROVIDED SERVICES TO IMPROVE HIS OR HER EDUCATIONAL AND EMPLOYMENT SKILLS.
PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO BUILD THE LEADERSHIP QUALITIES OF YOUTH AND ADULTS IN THE HUDSON VALLEY COMMUNITY. 111 YOUTHS AND ADULTS WERE SERVED THROUGH VARIOUS LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES: TO FOSTER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITES IN THE SERVICE AREA THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS. SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE AMOUNT OF $29,971 WERE AWARDED TO INDIVIDUALS TO FURTHER THEIR ACADEMIC ENDEAVORS. FUNDRAISERS ARE HELD TO SUPPORT AND ENSURE THE CONTINUED AVAILABLITY OF THE FUNDS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS IN ADDITION TO TRANSFERS FROM SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNTS. 16 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED.
