MSU INNOVATION CAMPUS CONTINUES TO MAKE PROGRESS IN ESTABLISHING A RESEARCH PARK TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, RESEARCH, AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. THE FIRST BUILDING, THE APPLIED RESEARCH LAB, OPENED EARLY 2020 AND UTILIZES MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY (MSU) FACULTY AND STUDENTS COMBINED WITH MONTANA INDUSTRY TO ENGAGE IN MANY AREAS OF MSU'S RESEARCH EXPERTISE. AN 87,000-SF PROFESSIONAL, MULTI-TENANT OFFICE TO SUPPORT MSU RESEARCH AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, CALLED INDUSTRY - BOZEMAN, BROKE GROUND JUNE 2022 AND IS ANTICIPATED TO BE OPERATIONAL EARLY 2024. AURORA INNOVATION INC, WHICH SPECIALIZES IN TECHNOLOGY FOR SELF-DRIVING CARS, IS BUILDING A 78,000-SF FACILITY ON THE INNOVATION CAMPUS. CONSTRUCTION BEGAN IN THE SPRING OF 2023 AND IT IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2024. MSU INNOVATION CAMPUS CONTINUES TO UPDATE ITS MASTER PLAN AS PART OF THIS MULTIPHASE PROJECT FOR LAB, LIGHT MANUFACTURING, AND OFFICE SPACE WITH KEY INDUSTRY PARTNERS AND IS WORKING CLOSELY WITH THE CITY OF BOZEMAN TO CHANGE ITS ZONING DESIGNATION TO ALLOW FOR GREATER DENSITY OF DEVELOPMENT ON THE CAMPUS.
