TO ESTABLISH AND PROVIDE FOR A STRINGED INSTRUMENT LEARNING PROGRAM FOR THE YOUTH IN THE INNER CITY WHO OTHERWISE WOULD NOT HAVE ACCESS TO SUCH A PROGRAM. DURING THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2023, CITY STRINGS UNITED, INC ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING:- ENROLLMENT INCREASED TO 75 STUDENTS.- INSTRUMENT LESSONS NOW INCLUDE VIOLIN IN ADDITION TO CELLO AND PIANO.- 2ND YEAR OF STRATEGIC PLAN INCLUDES SUCCESSFUL BUDGET INCREASE AND RESPECTIVE FUNDING.- PRESIDENT AND CEO MOVED TO FULL TIME STATUS, ALONG WITH INCREASED HOURS FOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT.- 13 CONCERT APPEARANCES INCLUDED: BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY, ROXBURY "MUSICAL STORIES AND COMBINED PERFORMANCE WITH MAKANDA PROJECT (FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, THE LENNY ZAKIM FUND 27TH ANNUAL AWARDS GALA, STRINGFEST 2023 WITH CELEBRITY SERIES BOSTON AND CHELSEY GREEN AND THE GREEN PROJECT, CITY STRINGS UNITED SPRING CONCERT AT KROC CENTER, DORCHESTER, TRIBUTE CONCERT TO SUSAN PAUL AT THE MUSEUM OF AFRICAN HISTORY WITH REGIE GIBSON, AND BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS, EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS CONFERENCE.- PARTNERSHIP WITH NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY AND PROF.
