ANGELS OF AMERICA'S FALLEN HELPS CHILDREN OF OUR FALLEN MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDERS DEVELOP INTO STRONG AND SUCCESSFUL ADULTS BY PROVIDING THEM POSITIVE MENTORING AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES WHEN THEY ARE AT THEIR MOST CRUCIAL DEVELOPMENT PHASE OF LIFE. WE GRANT THE FUNDS AND/OR SUPPLIES FOR FUN, EDUCATIONAL, AND DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES THAT CAN PROVIDE A MENTORING OPPORTUNITY, AND DEVELOP A PASSION FOR A HEALTHY ACTIVITY TO HELP CHILDREN STAY ON TRACK AS THEY DEVELOP INTO ADULTS. ACTIVITIES SUPPORTED ARE UNDER THE WATCHFUL EYE OF A COACH, TEACHER, OR INSTRUCTOR WHO CAN PROVIDE SOME OF THE MENTORING AND GUIDANCE THE CHILDREN ARE NOW MISSING.

ANGELS OF AMERICAS FALLEN PROVIDES FUNDING FOR SPORTS, MUSIC AND ARTS PARTICIPATION FOR CHILDREN OF FALLEN MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDERS, AND PROVIDES INTAKES AND REFERRALS, OUTREACH AND INDIVIDUALIZED PERSON-CENTERED CASE MANAGEMENT UTILIZING A STRENGTHS-BASED TRAUMA INFORMED APPROACH. ANGELS HAS A PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM AS A PLATFORM TO CONNECT FAMILIES TO SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER AS THEY REDEFINE FAMILY LIFE AFTER THE TRAUMATIC LOSS OF THEIR SPOUSE, AND A VOICES PROGRAM WHICH ALLOWS CHILDREN AND SURVIVING SPOUSES TO TELL THEIR STORIES TO HONOR THEIR LOVED ONE AND HELP OTHERS WHO ARE IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS. IN 2023, THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTED 661 CHILDREN AND THEIR 280 PARENTS/GUARDIANS NATIONWIDE WITH THE CHILDREN PARTICIPATING IN 41,836 ACTIVITY SESSIONS WITH A COACH OR INSTRUCTOR. THE ORGANIZATION EXPERIENCED PROGRAM GROWTH AND MOVED 161 CHILDREN OFF THE WAITING LIST. THE ORGANIZATION'S OUTREACH INTERACTIONS INCLUDE ENROLLMENTS, EDUCATION, NEWSLETTERS, MAKING REFERRALS AND PEER CONNECTIONS, SETTING UP ACTIVITIES, AND CHECKING IN ON THEM TO SEE HOW THINGS ARE GOING. IN 2023, THE ORGANIZATION HAD 28,327 CASE MANAGEMENT AND OUTREACH INTERACTIONS.
