ANNUAL BACK-2-SCHOOL PARENT CHAT- IS HELD DURING THE MONTH OF AUGUST TO PROMOTE AWARENESS OF COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND SERVICES, FOSTER THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SHARED PARTNERSHIP WITH EDUCATING STUDENTS, AND PROMOTE MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AMONG PARENTS, STUDENTS, SCHOOLS AND THE COMMUNITY. THE ANNUAL EVENT ASSIST STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH AN ECONOMIC NEED BY PROVIDING RESOURCES WHILE EMPOWERING PARTICIPANTS WITH INFORMATION AND TRAININGS TO PROMOTE POSITIVELY DESIRED SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES.
YOUTH AMBASSADOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (Y.A.L.E.) IS A STUDENT-LED ORGANIZATION DESIGNED TO PROMOTE COUNTYWIDE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS TO BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED WITH PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING COMMUNITY INITIATIVES. Y.A.L.E. LINKS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN GRADES 9TH THROUGH 12TH THROUGHOUT FORT BEND COUNTY AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES TO VARIOUS ACTIVITIES RELATED TO CHARACTER EDUCATION, DIVERSITY, LEADERSHIP, SERVICE LEARNING, AND COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS. Y.A.L.E. MEMBERS PRESENT AT CONFERENCES AND SERVE AS YOUTH LEADERS AT FLCRC EVENTS. THE YOUTH LEADERS ATTEND MONTHLY MEETINGS AND PLAY A KEY ROLE IN PLANNING, DEVELOPING AND ADMINISTERING FLCRC PROGRAMS AND SERVICE EVENTS. PRE-Y.A.L.E. IS A SUBGROUP OF Y.A.L.E. FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 5TH THROUGH 8TH.
THE FINDING YOUR GRIT PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO MOTIVATE AND ASSIST STUDENT VICTIMS WITH HEALING THROUGH ACTION. WE SUPPORT YOUTH CRIME VICTIMS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF VICTIMIZATION. FLCRC PROVIDES A HOLISTIC APPROACH BY WORKING THROUGH BARRIERS TO ASSIST YOUNG CRIME VICTIMS WHEN THE SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED. WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS AND THE LONG SUMMER MONTHS ARE TARGETED TIMES THAT WE CONNECT WITH OUR YOUTH CRIME VICTIMS. OUR AIM IS TO REDUCE FAMILY VIOLENCE AND VIOLENCE AGAINST YOUTH THROUGH OUTREACH, ADVOCACY, AND EMPOWERMENT.
