B4T PROMOTION: EDUCATE AND SHARE BEST PRACTICES WITH STUDENTS, BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS, CHURCHES AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WHILE ENCOURAGING THEM TO START OR PARTNER WITH A B4T BUSINESS. 67 PEOPLE COMPLETED OUR 7-MONTH B4T CHAMPIONS TRAINING. ANOTHER 11 STARTED THE TRAINING. KEPT LEADERS FROM APPROXIMATELY 150 CHURCHES INFORMED ABOUT B4T. 1 COLLABORATING ORGANIZATION SIGNED MOU TO FUNNEL LONG-TERM-INTERESTED FUTURE WORKERS TO OPEN.
INTERNSHIPS/APPRENTICESHIPS: PROVIDED A PATHWAY, TRAINING, AND CONSULTING FOR FUTURE B4T WORKERS AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONS THAT DESIRE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES. 4 UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WERE MATCHED WITH A B4T BUSINESS TO WORK AS INTERNS AS A FOR-CREDIT COMPONENT OF THEIR DEGREE. 12 NOT FOR-CREDIT INTERNS WERE PLACED IN A B4T BUSINESS. 4 PEOPLE WERE MENTORED TO PREPARE THEM FOR OVERSEAS WORK, WITH 2 OF THOSE NOW OVERSEAS.
CONNECT/COACH/MENTOR/LOANS: EDUCATE, MENTOR, ENCOURAGE AND SHARE BEST PRACTICES WITH THOSE INVOLVED IN B4T BUSINESSES. COACHES AND MENTORS MEET REGULARLY FOR TRAINING AND TO PREPARE THEM TO HELP B4T WORKERS EXCEL IN THEIR BUSINESSES AND IN THEIR ABILITY TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF THOSE THEY ENCOUNTER. MORE THAN 130 B4T WORKERS WERE COACHED AND/OR MENTORED. THE OPEN USA RELIEF AND LOAN FUNDS HAVE SUPPORTED 25 B4T BUSINESSES WITH LOAN AND RELIEF FUNDS.
