Part 3 - Line 4a

ARKANSAS LEARNING THROUGH THE ARTS PLACES ARTS PROGRAMS IN CLASSROOMS TO INSPIRE YOUNG PEOPLE TO EXPAND THEIR LEARNING THROUGH THE ARTS. THE PROGRAMS SUPPORT TEACHERS BY ENHANCING THE LESSIONS AND SUBJECTS THEY ARE WORKING ON WITH STUDENTS. STUDENTS ARE ENTRANCED BY THE PROFESSIONAL TEACHING ARTISTS WHO DRAW THEM INTO LEARNING THROUGH THEIR ART FORM. BY THE END OF THREE ONE-HOUR SESSIONS STUDENTS ARE CREATING POETRY, WRITING AND PERFORMING SONGS, EXPRESSING CHARACTERS THROUGH DANCE, OR DRUMMING RHYTHMICALLY ON AFRICAN DRUMS. ALTTA OFFERS OVER 70 UNIQUE WORKSHOPS SPANNING PRE-K THROUGH 12TH GRADE. IN THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR ALTTA DID PROGRAMS IN 16 SCHOOLS AND SERVED OVER 5,500 STUDENTS WHILE BE RESTRICTED BY THE PANDEMIC.
