TO PROVIDE THE RESOURCES, PROGRESSIVE PROGRAMS AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION NEEDED TO REHABILITATE AND REHOME THE ABANDONED AND STRAY ANIMALS OF SANTA PAULA RESULTING IN THE ELIMINATION OF THE UNNECESSARY KILLING OF THESE COMPANION ANIMALS.

S.P.A.R.C WAS FORMED AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE CURRENT ''POUND SYSTEM" WHEREBY ALL ANIMALS ARE DEEMED ADOPTABLE UNLESS EUTHANASIA IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR AN ANIMAL IN PAIN THAT CANNOT BE REMEDIATED IN SOME WAY. S.P.A.R.C. BELIEVES THAT ALL ANIMALS HAVE VALUE, NO MATTER HOW BROKEN OR UNWANTED. WITH CARE, LOVE AND APPROPRIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION WE HAVE WITNESSED MIRACULOUS TRANSFORMATIONS. COUNTLESS FORMERLY ABUSED OR UNHEALTHY PETS BECOMING BELOVED COMPANIONS INSPIRE US EVERY DAY. A PLACE WHERE HOMELESS ANIMALS ARE BROUGHT FOR HUMANE CARE WITHOUT THE RISK OF BEING KILLED DUE TO LACK OF SPACE, ILLNESS OR INJURY. S.P.A.R.C. ACTIVELY SAVES LIVES BY REHABILITATING AND RE-HOMING ANIMALS, AT THE SAME TIME PARTNERING WITH THE COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE RESOURCES AND EDUCATE ON THE IMPORTANCE OF SPAY/NEUTER AND VACCINATION PROGRAMS.
THE SPARC SECOND CHANCE STORE WAS OPENED TO HELP RAISE REVENUE FOR THE RESCUE CENTER. THE MERCHANDISE IN THE STORE ARE DONATED FROM INDIVIDUALS AND SOLD TO THE PUBLIC, WHERE THE FUNDS ARE USED FOR THE SAME CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF S.P.A.R.C.
