TO PROVIDE A DESTINATION FILLED WITH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS REGARDING THE IMPORTANCE OF TOTAL COMMUNITY SUPPORT IN PRESERVING OUR FREEDOM. THE MUSEUM IS FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL AGES AND ILLUSTRATES GENERAL MILITARY HISTORY WITH A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON THE CONTRIBUTION OF EVANSVILLE AND ITS SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES IN SUPPORTING WARTIME EFFORTS.

DURING 2021 THE MUSEUM EXPANDED ITS OPERATING HOURS FROM 12PM-4PM ON SATURDAY & SUNDAY TP 12PM-4PM ON THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY & SUNDAY. DURING MAY AN "FLY-IN" EVENT WAS HELD THAT CONSISTING OF AREA PILOTS DONATING THEIR PLANES INCLUDING FUEL TO GIVE MUSEUM PATRONS PLANE RIDES IN EXCHANGE FOR A DONATION TO THE MUSEUM. DURING JULY THE CAF BROUGHT TWO VINTAGE WORLD WAR 2 PLANES INCLUDING A B-17 TO THE MUSEUM. PATRONS COULD TAKE FLIGHTS AND TOURS FOR A FEE. DURING AUGUST THE CAF BROUGHT A VINTAGE WORLD WAR 2 C-47 AIRCRAFT TO THE MUSEUM. PATRONS COULD TAKE FLIGHTS AND TOURS FOR A FEE.
