BY THE END OF 2023, THE ORGANIZATION HAD SUCCESSFULLY RESTORED OVER 100 ACRES AND PLANTED OVER 500K NATIVE EELGRASS PLANTS. TO DATE, WE HAVE ALSO UNCLOGGED OVER 850 SPRING VENTS AND HAVE REMOVED 500+ MILLION POUNDS OF DETRITAL MATERIAL AND LYNGBYA FROM KINGS BAY WHICH IS LOCATED IN CRYSTAL RIVER, FLORIDA. WE HAVE CREATED A PUBLIC OUTREACH/EDUCATION CAMPAIGN USING OUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA TO HELP EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS PROJECT. SAVE CRYSTAL RIVER ALSO PARTNERED AGAIN WITH THE CRYSTAL RIVER PRIMARY SCHOOL A YEAR-LONG PROJECT WHERE STUDENTS GREW EELGRASS AND AT THE END OF THE YEAR PLANTED THEIR CROPS IN HUNTER SPRINGS
