ASLANE'S HOPE IS A WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S SHELTER. ASLANE'S MISSION ACCEPTS YOUNG WOMEN FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE WHO TRULY WANT TO MOVE FORWARD IN LIFE. MANY OF OUR WOMEN ARE PLACED WITH OR WITHOUT THEIR CHILDREN THROUGH VARIOUS STATE AGENCIES IN ORDER TO GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO OVERCOME THE OBSTACLES THEY WERE FACING TAKE PAUSE EVALUATE THEIR LIFE AND SITUATION WORK ON SELF SET GOALS AND OBTAIN THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO MOVE FORWARD IN LIFE. MANY OF OUR WOMEN ARE HOMELESS,LEAVING DOMESTIC ABUSE OR TRAFFICKING SITUATIONS OR FIND THEMSELVES IN SITUATIONS WHERE THEY ARE ABOUT TO OR HAVE LOST CUSTODY OF THEIR CHILDREN DUE TO THEIR CURRENT SITUATION AND HAVE NOWHERE TO TURN. ASLANE'S MISSION RECEIVES REFERRALS THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES HOSPITALS AND DRUG REHABILITATION FACILITIES SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERS CHURCHES AND VARIOUS OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS. ASLANE'S HOPE ELEMINATES EXCUSES BY FIRST MEETING THE PERSON WHERE THEY ARE WITHOUT JUDGEMENT EVALUATE THE ROOT CAUSE OF THEIR SITUATION AND SET GOALS AS TO A PATH TO TAKE TO OVERCOME THE SITUATION. TOGETHER WE WORK WITH THE FAMILY INDIVIDUALLY AND AS A UNIT TO HELP THEM ACQUIRE THE NEEDED BASIC LIFE SKILLS JOB TRAINING COUNSELING NEEDED TO MOVE FORWARD IN LIFE AND NEVER LOOK BACK. ASLANE'S MISSION PARTNERS WITH VAROUS COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE THE MOST HELP NEEDED FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY TO SUCCEED. ASLANE'S MISSION ACKNOWLEDGES THAT EACH PERSON IS A UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL AND BRINGS TO US UNIQUE AND COMPLEX PROBLEMS THAT REQUIRE A MULTI-DISCIPLANARY AND MULTI-AGENCY APPROACH TO ENSURE SUCCESS AND TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY.
ASLANE'S MISSION ASSISTS FAMILIES GOING FROM HOMELESSNESS INTO HOUSING WITH BASIC HOUSE HOLD ITEMS AND FURNITURE.WE ALSO PROVIDE CLOTHING SHOES AND TOILETRIES ETC. WE ASSIST AS NEEDED AND AS AVAILABLE WITH EMERGENCY FOOD. WE ASSIST WITH TRANSPORTATION TO ASSESS VARIOUS COMMUNITY SERVICES EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT AS WELL AS TO MEDICAL CARE. WE UNDERSTAND THAT TRANSPORTATION IS A HUGE NEED THAT PREVENTS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES FROM OBTAINING THE HELP THEY NEED. BY ASSISTING WITH TRANSPORTATION IN THE INITIAL PHASE WE ARE ALLOWING THESE INDIVIDUALS ASSESS TO THE HELP THEY NEED ALLOWING THEM TO OBTAIN THE JOB SKILLS EDUCATION AND JOBS NEEDED TO EARN A LIVING SAVE THEN BUY A VEHICLE AND THEN OBTAIN A HOME. ASLANE'S MISSION IS COMMITTED TO ELIMINATING EXCUSES AND HELP EACH CLIENT BECOME SUCCESSFUL.
